A copper collection method was used to recover platinum group metals from a spent auto catalysts. The influences of CaO/SiO2 weight ratio, collection agent and reductant on Pt, Pd and Rh recoveries were studied. The recovery rates are 98.2%, 99.2% and 97.6% for Pt, Pd and Rh, respectively, when the collection condition is as follows: 1.05 of CaO/SiO2 weight ratio, 35%~40% of CuO ratio, 6% of reductant ratio, 1400℃ of smelting temperature and 5 h of smelting time. |
