Due to the high activity, selectivity and stability of platinum based catalysts in the dehydrogenation of propane to propylene, they are widely used in the industrial production of propylene. The reaction mechanism and thermodynamic characteristics of platinum based catalysts for propane dehydrogenation, effects of support modification, selection of promoters and preparation methods on catalytic performance, the mechanism of catalyst deactivation were reviewed. The research directions for searching promoters that can improve selectivity, choosing carriers that can anchor active sites and studying catalytic mechanisms were proposed. |
