The content of carbon and sulfur in pure silver and silver alloy was analyzed by using infrared absorption, and the related analytical conditions were established. Under the given analytical conditions, the method has advantages of being accurate and time-saving. Satisfactory analytical results can be obtained for the samples containing carbon in the range of 0.005%~0.12% and sulfur in the range of 0.005%~0.099%. The relative standard deviation, standard addition recovery rate is 3.3%~10.9%, 91%~ 120% for carbon, and 2.8%~10%, 91%~120% for sulfur, respectively. |
