In the traditional recycling of silver zinc smelting slag, most silver is recovered from rotary kiln slag. However, silver can not effectively be recovered, due to changes of the mineral properties. A process involving the recovery of silver directly from zinc-leached residues was developed. The residues after acid leaching of zinc contained Ag 350 g/t, Au<0.01 g/t, Pb 3.87%, Zn 17.45%, Cu 1.38%, and 60.13% of silver existing in the residues was natural silver state. By using HT-1# as a collector and HT-2# as a frother, and following a flowsheet of one roughing stage, four cleaning stages and three scavenging stages, the silver in the residues could be concentrated by about 20 times to a level of 6616 g/t with a recovery rate of 82.98%. |
