Silver-based electrical contact composites are widely used in low-voltage electrical appliances, automotive electrical appliances and household appliances due to the excellent electrical conductivity, thermal conductivity, high specific heat, good machinability, and low and stable contact resistance in atmospheric environment. Based on the application requirements of physical, mechanical, electrical and processing properties of silver-based electrical contact composites, this paper introduces the preparation methods, types, properties, characteristics and application fields of silver-based electrical contact composites. In addition, the article describes the addition of a third component to existing silver-based electrical contact materials to improve the performance of silver-based series electrical contact composites. Meanwhile, the performance, characteristics and application fields of new silver-based electrical contact composites such as Ag-carbon nanotubes, Ag-conductive ceramics and Ag-graphene were described. |
