In the purification process of crude platinum, excessive butadione oxime is usually added to remove palladium impurities from platinum, and a slag containing palladium in the form of the complex of butadione oxime is produced. For the recovery of palladium from the slag, the traditional method is to directly decompose the complex at a high temperature, followed by further refinement and purification. However, a lower recovery rate of palladium is obtained due to the volatile loss of the organic complex and an environmental pollution caused by emission of flue gases is accompanied. In this experimental a four-step process was adopted involving alkaline pulp, reduction and refining of palladium, and regeneration of budione oxime The experimental results showed that the recovery rate of palladium exceeded 99.0%, with a purity of 99.95% for palladium and 99% for budione oxime. |
