NiPt and NiCrPt alloy target were prepared via a process of melting, hot and cold rolling, and annealing treatment. The effect of Cr addition on the structure, physics ad mechanical properties of NiPt alloy was studied by using optical microscopy, X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), Transmission electron microscopy (TEM), etc. It was found that the average grain size of NiPt alloy decreased from 67.26 μm to 10.24 μm after the addition of Cr, indicating a significant grain refinement, and the yield strength increased significantly from 201.31 MPa to 520.11 MPa, while the uniform elongation shrunk only from 39.22 % to 31.94 %. Moreover, the addition of Cr also reduced the thermal expansion coefficient of the alloy, resulting in the disappearance of ferromagnetism. |
