Introduction
Precious Metals is a quarterly journal, started publication in 1980, and it has been publicly distributed both inside and outside of China. It is the only one nationwide and professional scientific and technological journal on precious metals in China. It is sponsored by The Nonferrous Metals Society of China (NFsoc) and Kunming Institute of Precious Metals, compiled and published by the Precious Metals Editorial office in Kunming Institute of Precious Metals.
Precious Metals is aimed at reporting the newest achievements of science and technology research and levels of industrial production in the fields of precious metals in China and current status of precious metals research and development worldwide. It established a platform of communication between Chinese and international precious metals circles. The journal covers achievements of basic and applied basic research and application and development research on the disciplines including precious metals mineral resources, extraction metallurgy, recovery and comprehensive utilization of secondary resources, chemistry and chemical engineering, materials, analysis and testing, et al. and tracking reviews research trends of precious metals at home and abroad, prospects the development of precious metals science and technology.
Precious Metals possesses higher reputation and larger influence in international precious metals circles, and plays an important role in academic exchange on precious metals of domestic and abroad. The journal is abstracted/indexed in Chemical Abstracts (CA), Metals Abstracts (MA), et al. In view of impact factor (as shown in the following table), Precious Metals has become one of the most influential materials science journals in China.
