| The recent research progresses of gold leaching with alkaline thiourea solution were summarized. This method is efficient, nontoxic and the most possible to substitute for dissolving gold with cyanide solution. Comparing with gold leaching in acidic thiourea solution, the advantages of gold leaching by alkaline thiourea solution are good selectivity, easier to regenerate and to purify the lixiviums. The principles and mechanisms of gold leaching with alkaline thiourea solution were stated. Stabilizers and oxidants of gold leaching with alkaline thiourea solution were discussed in detail. In the end, the achievements and unresolved questions of gold leaching with alkaline thiourea solution were pointed out, and the developing trends were expected. |
