Theoretical analysis with the appropriate functional group selected as an ion exchange resin is used for the preparation of high-purity platinum, and the effect of various parameters, such as, platinum solution concentration and pH value on the removal effect has been investigated. Studies show that the type of 001×7 strongly acidic cation exchange resin is suitable for the selective adsorption of impurity elements under acid conditions, K, Ca, Si, Pb, and other base metal impurities are all removed effectively at platinum concentration of 50 g/L and pH of 1.5, while the Au, Ag, Ir, Pd and other precious metal impurities are all removed at pH of 3. High purity of 99.999% platinum is obtained from chloroplatinic acid purified using chemical precipitation and roasting. |
