Precious metal nano-particles have attracted worldwide attention because of their great value in both fundamental researches and industrial application. In particular, small sizes and large specific surface areas of nano-particles render precious metal nano-particles with extraordinary catalytic activities. Conventional synthetic methods and application of precious metal nano-particles were introduced, advantages and shortcomings of nano-metal materials were discussed, and some suggestions for future development were made. |
