Energy crisis and environmental pollution are the main driving forces for the development of automotive fuel cell. However, the performance and cost of electrocatalyst become one of the key factors, which limit the large scale commercial application of fuel cells. So far, Pt-based catalysts have been mainly used for fuel cell. Three kinds of automotive fuel cell electrocatalysts for proton exchange membrane fuel cell, direct methanol fuel cell and formic acid fuel cell are discussed in detail, and their problems and solutions are analyzed. |
