      The synthetic yield was increased and the thermal decomposition was avoided by optimizing the process conditions for the production of dihydrogen hexahydroxyplatinate (H2Pt(OH)6). Dihydrogen hexahydroxy- platinate has the properties of oxidation, thermal decomposition and amphoteric. It can be used in the purification of crude platinum and the synthesis of platinum compounds.
