The uncertainty of the determination of iron content in high purity gold by laser ablation inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (LA-ICP-MS) was evaluated. The impacts of major sources of uncertainty were discussed and calculated, such as certified reference material, working curve and measurement repeatability. The results show that the content of iron in high-purity gold is 2.349 mg/kg, and the expanded uncertainty is 0.836 mg/kg. The main source of uncertainty is certified reference material. |
