An ionic iridium complex [Ir(ppy)2(Dtbbpy)]+PF6- was synthesized with 2-phenylpyridine (ppy) as a cyclic metal ligand, 4,4'-di-tert-butyl-2,2'-dipyridine (Dtbbpy) as an N^N auxiliary ligand and PF6- as a counter anion, and its yield was 91.0%. Its chemical structure was characterized by elemental analysis (EA), infrared spectroscopy (IR), nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy (1H-NMR and 13C-NMR), and mass spectrometry (MS). Its photophysical properties were studied by UV-Vis and photoluminescence spectroscopy (PL). The maximum emission wavelength of the complex in dichloromethane is 557 nm, which belongs to the yellow-green emitting ionic iridium phosphorescent complex. |
