0.5%Pd-5%Cu/MoO3 catalyst was prepared by a solvothermal method. The performance of bimetallic, monometallic and unsupported catalysts in catalyzing the oxidation of benzyl alcohol was evaluated, and the mechanism of Pd and Cu involved in promoting oxygen atom activation and the catalyst recovery process in MoO3 were studied. Due to the synergistic effect between Pd and Cu, 0.5%Pd-5%Cu/ MoO3 catalyst has excellent catalytic performance in the oxidation of benzyl alcohol with a conversion of 92.5%, selectivity of 100% for benzoic, and the catalyst still retains 94.3% activity after 5 catalytic cycles. |
