The most essential properties of silver paste used on the surface of industrial arts ceramics are the leveling property of the silver paste, the brightness of the silver layer (after silver paste calcination), and the adhesion to the ceramic. This article studies the effects of silver powder type, silver powder modifier, glass powder content, and resin type on the performance of silver paste. The research results show that the optimal conditions are: 60% flake silver powder, 1% modifier cetyldimethylsilyl chloride, 6.67% solvent dimethyl adipate, 23.67% diethylene glycol butyl ether acetate, 4.33% ethyl cellulose, 2.33% acrylic resin, and 2% low melting point glass powder. Once the obtained paste is diluted evenly with an equal mass of isoamyl acetate, sprayed and baked. The silver layer will ensure a promising market value with its good density, excellent performance in flatness and brightness, and its perfect binding force between the silver layer and ceramics. |
